To be eligible for a surgical weight loss procedure, you must:
- Be over 18 years old
- Suffer from major obesity-related medical problems
- Be at least 100 pounds overweight or have a body mass index (BMI) of 35 or higher
- Possess an understanding of the operation and the post-surgical lifestyle changes required
